Meet-A-Machine Gears Up for Another Exciting Event!
It’s a family-oriented event that has become a tradition in Windsor. The thirteenth annual Meet-A-Machine will roll into the WFCU Centre parking lot this June, giving children a chance to touch and climb on those mighty machines they would usually only see from a distance. The event takes place Saturday, June 7, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is free to the public!
Upwards of 70 vehicles will be on hand, including buses, emergency response vehicles, garbage trucks, cranes, race cars and much more. This event is a literacy-based experience that provides children with an opportunity to learn about the machines by climbing into and exploring them. The drivers who operate the vehicles will be on hand to talk to the children about the machines and answer any questions that they have.
Meet-A-Machine is a great way to bridge the excitement children often have for vehicles — like fire trucks, construction equipment, and emergency vehicles — with the joy of reading and learning. By connecting real-world experiences with literature, it can spark curiosity and imagination in young minds. This free event is brought to you by The City of Windsor Children’s Services Department.
Come and enjoy these amazing machines and learn from the many talented people who do great things with them in our community!
