Important Transit Update Starting September 2025 for Secondary School Students
School Bus Extras Transition Plan: Letter from Transit Windsor
Beginning in September 2025, secondary school students currently using School Extras to travel to Holy Names, St. Joseph's, Riverside, and Massey will transition to regular public transit. To support a smooth start to the school year, real-time and interactive bus information will be available starting September 1, 2025, through the following Transit Apps and online tools (see Schedules and Maps for links to access the apps):
- Google Maps Trip Planner
- Transit App
- Moovit App
- Where's My Bus
We're Here to Help You Get Transit-Ready!
To help you feel confident using the regular public transit system, Transit Windsor staff will be visiting your school during your respective school's lunch hour to:
- Answer your questions,
- Show you how to use trip planning tools, and
- Help you get comfortable and confident.
High School Visits
We will be at your school, during the lunch hour, on the following dates:
- Holy Names: June 3 and June 6 from 11:05 to 11:45
- St. Joseph's: June 4 from 11:35 to 12:15
- Riverside: June 9 from 10:45 to 11:30
- Massey: June 10 and June 12 from 11:30 to 12:55
