Windsor Essex Registered Early Childhood Educators

Children in superhero costumes and words, Their future is in our hands. Find out how you can become an Early Childhood Educator

Early learning professionals play an important role in supporting quality early years experiences for children and families. They work in a variety of settings, including licensed child care centres, school-based programs, licensed home care, EarlyON Child and Family Centres and community agencies that support the growth and development of children essential to quality early years experiences.

Through play-based child-led learning, early learning professionals help children develop social, emotional, cognitive and physical skills. They create welcoming and inclusive environments; support children's individual needs; and work closely with children, families, colleagues and community members. By building strong relationships with parents and caregivers, early learning professionals help children learn, grow and reach their full potential.

Registered early childhood educators (RECEs) are members of a regulated profession and are required by the College of Early Childhood Educators to participate in ongoing professional learning and maintain a professional development portfolio. As the Consolidated Municipal Service Manager (CMSM), the City of Windsor is committed to supporting continuous professional learning and development opportunities for all early learning professionals across Windsor-Essex.
