Sandpoint Beach Park Master Plan and Shoreline Class Environmental Assessment

The City of Windsor has completed an environmental assessment for Sandpoint Beach Park as part of the Sandpoint Beach Park Master Plan process, which provides a comprehensive vision for enhancing this unique waterfront space. The assessment evaluated potential improvements to the park’s shoreline to ensure it continues to meet the community’s needs while addressing environmental and recreational considerations. The preferred solution aims to improve shoreline conditions, upgrade park functionality, and expand recreational opportunities, all while prioritizing accessibility and sustainability.

Incorporating public feedback and expert insights, the Park Master Plan sets the stage for transforming the park into a safe, vibrant, and inclusive space. Progression to the detailed design and implementation phases is subject to funding and approvals. The Park Master Plan was presented to City Council for consideration on January 13, 2025. Further details can be found in the Shoreline Class Environmental Assessment report and the Sandpoint Beach Park Master Plan available below.
