Twin Oaks Business Area - Second Egress
About the Study
The City of Windsor has initiated a Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (EA) Study that will consider several alternatives for a second egress to serve the Twin Oaks Industrial Park area (see Study Area map below). Currently, access to the Twin Oaks Industrial Park currently relies solely on a single entrance/exit point off Lauzon Parkway, and there is no other secondary means of egress.
About the Process
This notice signals the commencement of the Class EA study which will define the project, identify and evaluate alternative solutions and develop a preferred alternative for the second egress from the Twin Oaks Business Park Area in consultation with the public, Indigenous communities and regulatory agencies. Any potential impacts of the alternatives on social, cultural, economic and natural environments will be evaluated and assessed during the Class EA study.
This study is being carried out in accordance with the requirements of Schedule B of the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (2024), approved under the Ontario Environmental Assessment Act.
Members of the public are also invited to attend an upcoming public information centre (PIC) to learn more about and provide input on the project and to review alternative solutions and the preliminary preferred alternative.
