Windsor Fire and Rescue Services Receives Grant

Windsor Fire & Rescue Services is proud to announce that it has been awarded a $39,710.80 grant from the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation.

This grant will support Windsor Fire & Rescue Services in enhancing frontline fire suppression capabilities through the purchase of specialized Fire Attack hoses used by crews to protect residents and property. Fire Attack hoses are a critical component of emergency fire operations, enabling firefighters to extinguish fires, protect exposures, and carry out decontamination activities. During structure fires, this equipment is subjected to intense heat, heavy abrasion, and significant operational stress as it is advanced and dragged through hazardous environments, making its reliability and ongoing replacement essential to firefighter effectiveness and public safety.

“We are extremely grateful to the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation for this generous investment in public safety,” said Deputy Chief Daemon Hart, Windsor Fire & Rescue Services. “This funding will directly support our firefighters in their mission to serve and protect the community of Windsor. Grants like this make a meaningful difference by ensuring our teams have the tools they need when seconds matter.”

This grant reflects a shared commitment between Windsor Fire & Rescue Services and the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation to strengthen emergency preparedness and improve safety outcomes for residents throughout Windsor.

Members of the community can support the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation through in-store donations at participating Firehouse Subs restaurants and other fundraising initiatives that help provide equipment and resources to first responders nationwide.
