Voter Info for the October 26 Municipal Election

The Municipal Election is just days away, and the City of Windsor would like to remind voters that Voting Day is Monday, October 26, 2026. Voting hours are 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Here is some helpful information for voters:

New this year, voters can vote at any location within their ward. To find available Voting Day polling locations in your ward, visit the Election Day Voting Locations page on our website.

How to Vote

Voter notification cards have been mailed; however, you do not need one to cast your ballot! Simply bring acceptable identification to any voting location within your ward. For details on voting locations, hours, and the list of accepted identification, please visit the Information for Voters page.

If you receive a voter notification card with incorrect information, you can still vote. Bring the card and your identification (including name and qualifying address) to the nearest poll in your ward, and we will correct the information for you. New cards will not be issued, but you will be able to vote. You can also update your voter information online.

Proxy Voting

Unable to go to the polls on Voting Day? You may appoint a person to vote on your behalf.

Proxy forms are available for pickup at the Office of the City Clerk (Suite 530 - 350 City Hall Square West) or by calling 519-255-6100 ext. 6285. Visit the Proxy Voting page to learn more.
