Transit Windsor Delivers on Fireworks Night

The 2026 Ford Fireworks event along the Detroit River was a great success, thanks in part to the seamless transportation services sponsored by Zehrs® and provided by Transit Windsor. 

Beginning at 6:00 p.m., Transit Windsor offered complimentary direct shuttle services from Devonshire Mall to a convenient drop-off point near City Hall. Free regular bus services throughout the community were also provided.

This year's event marked a significant growth in ridership, with fireworks shuttle usage increasing by 31% compared to the previous year.

The shuttle service transported 6,103 attendees between Devonshire Mall and the riverfront, and provided a total of 7,475 free bus rides after 6:00 p.m. This provided a combined total of 13,578 riders served across the network, increasing and improving safety and accessibility for this community tradition.
