Stay Cool and Beat the Heat in Windsor!

With unseasonably hot and humid weather continuing, the City of Windsor remains committed to ensuring residents stay safe and cool.
Here are some options to beat the heat:
- Enjoy cooling off at one of our free splash pads, open daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Windsor Public Library branches and City Customer Care Centres provide cool havens from the heat. Stay hydrated with water filling stations and fountains available at all Customer Care Centres.
- Outdoor pools are open for the summer.
Homelessness and Housing Help Hub (H4) at 400 Wyandotte Street East is open for those experiencing homelessness, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including holidays.

A heat warning is issued by the Windsor-Essex County Health Unit (WECHU) when:
- Daytime highs reach or exceed 31 degrees Celsius for two consecutive days with nighttime lows above 21 degrees Celsius, or
- The humidex reaches 42 degrees Celsius or higher.
