“2025 has been a year to remember for our community as we have leveraged opportunities and navigated challenges while Building Windsor’s Future and focusing on investment, growth, and sustainability. The new City Hall Ice Rink and gathering space is a shining example of investing in lasting amenities, assets, and public spaces where we can showcase Windsor’s talent, celebrate its stories, shape its future, and bring its residents together to celebrate. This project was shaped by public consultation and represents the shared community vision for this space. Thanks to our sponsors, staff, and partners for helping to bring this event to life. And thank you, again, to the designers, contractors, and government funding partners who helped create this beautiful new destination outside City Hall. This renewal of City Hall Square is having positive impacts on economic development, neighbourhood revitalization, tourism and hospitality, community groups and artists, residents and visitors in the City of Windsor. This is an excellent opportunity to celebrate all of that and more! On behalf of City Council and the City of Windsor, I invite everyone to join us for a special inaugural New Year’s Eve Rink Party to honour the year that was and welcome that year that will be.”
- Windsor Mayor Drew Dilkens
