Public Input Sought on Possible One-Way Street Changes in Downtown Core

Published

The City of Windsor is looking for the public’s input regarding the possibility of converting some of Windsor’s Ward 3 and Ward 4 one-way streets back to two-way streets. The goal of the potential street conversions is to improve livability and to create a safer, more active downtown.

Consultation with residents, local businesses and community groups is an essential component in the consideration for a one-way to two-way street conversion. Comments and input gathered will assist the City of Windsor in determining whether detailed one-way to two-way street conversion studies should be conducted.

Virtual Public Information Centre (vPIC):

Beginning today, residents can access a virtual public information centre (vPIC) where they can learn about the project and provide feedback. Residents can access the information online until December 12, 2025.

Public Open House:

An in-person public open house is also scheduled for residents, especially those in Wards 3 and 4, to discuss the potential change of direction from one-way to two-way on the study streets.

Date: Tuesday, November 25, 2025
Time: 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Location: Caboto Club, 2175 Parent Avenue (Windsor Hall)

All are welcome to attend the public open house or participate in the vPIC. Wards 3 and 4 Councillors and City staff will be present at the in-person public meeting to discuss the project and address any concerns.
