Open Streets Windsor Vehicle Crossing Points and Hub Activity List

Open Streets Windsor is almost here, and we look forward to welcoming the community on Sunday, September 20, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This annual free event brings together residents and visitors to stroll, bike, roll, explore and enjoy the vibrant neighbourhoods that make Windsor unique.

Due to construction along the traditional East End route, the 2026 event will feature two separate routes along sections of Erie Street East, Parent Avenue, Ottawa Street and Wyandotte Street East, offering participants a new way to experience the event while still celebrating seven distinct community hubs. 

Music, entertainment and activities will be featured throughout, creating plenty of opportunities to stop, participate and explore along the way.

Activity Hubs

View the route map at OpenStreetsWindsor.ca and our Hub Activities List to plan your day and explore the streets that will be temporarily open to people and closed to regular vehicular traffic during the event. 

The 2026 hubs include:

  • Via Italia Hub
  • Lanspeary Park Hub
  • Ottawa Street Hub
  • Power Hub
  • Pillette Village Hub
  • Olde Riverside Hub
  • Miracle Park Hub

Vehicle Crossing Points

Drivers who need to travel across the event route during Open Streets Windsor will be able to cross at designated vehicle crossing points:

  • Wyandotte Street East at Jefferson Boulevard
  • Wyandotte Street East at Pillette Road
  • Wyandotte Street East at George Avenue
  • Ottawa Street at Lincoln Road
  • Ottawa Street at Gladstone Avenue
  • Giles Boulevard at Parent Avenue

Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead, allow additional travel time and follow all posted signage and directions from event and traffic-control personnel.

Please note: Streets along the route will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., one hour prior to the event start time and one hour following the conclusion.
