Notice to Residents: Bird E-Scooters and E-Bikes Currently Unavailable as of April 21, 2026

The City of Windsor has piloted the e‑scooter and e‑bike rental program in partnership with Bird Canada for the past five years.

The program was initially launched along the Riverfront Pathway and later expanded to include Windsor’s road rights‑of‑way and paved pathways within City parks.

The City of Windsor’s agreement with Bird Canada, which allowed for the rented operation of e-scooters and e-bikes across the city, expires on Tuesday, April 21, 2026.  Consequently, Bird Canada rental e-scooters and e-bikes will be unavailable after that time. 

Both the City and Bird Canada are continuing discussions to potentially re-instate these micromobility services throughout Windsor in the future.
