Litter Cleanup Along E.C. Row Expressway

Drivers are asked to use extra caution on the E.C. Row Expressway over the next few weeks, as City of Windsor staff will be cleaning debris along the roadway starting Monday, March 9, 2026.

Crews will begin cleaning the roadside shoulders starting with Central Avenue and moving east to Banwell Road. Once that work is complete, crews will tackle the westbound shoulders from Banwell Road to Huron Church and then head back eastbound to Central Avenue.

Once the roadside shoulders are complete, work will begin on the centre medians.

Crews will work from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., and there will be rolling lane closures in effect, but staff will endeavour to minimize traffic disruptions during rush hour. On- and off-ramps will also be cleaned during the week.

Motorists are asked to use extra caution and slow down where workers and traffic protection equipment are present on or near the roadways.

Weather permitting, this work will last for approximately two weeks.
