$245,000 Invested in New Courts at Remington Booster Park

New pickleball, tennis, and basketball courts are now ready for use at Remington Booster Park (2710 Lillian Avenue) following recent infrastructure enhancements at the park.

The upgrades are part of the Parks and Recreation master plans, representing $245,000 in investments, and include the following:

  • Six new pickleball courts
  • Two improved tennis courts
  • One improved basketball court

The landscape of Remington Booster Park has been transformed by these additions, which will accommodate a growing community interest in all three sports. Project work at the park will conclude in late summer/early fall of 2024 with a colour topcoat to be installed when the weather permits.

During the last ten years, over $1 million has been invested at Remington Booster Park for a number of enhancements, including trail improvements (2014), playground replacement (2015), new gazebo (2019), solar lights (2022), and this recent addition of new sports courts (2024).

The latest improvements are part of the City’s 2024 capital budget, which invests $23.5 million in parks, facilities, and recreation across the city; and the 2024 operating budget, which allocated $46.2 million towards parks, facilities, and recreation operations. Looking forward, the 10-year capital plan will invest more than $184.5 million in City parks, arenas, and recreation.
