Great Canadian Riverfront Brings Music, Family Fun, and Drone Spectacular to Windsor Waterfront

Published

Windsor’s riverfront will come alive with the sights, sounds, and spirit of Canada on Sunday, September 6, 2026, as the Great Canadian Riverfront brings a free evening of music, food, family activities, and Canadian pride to Dieppe Gardens from 4:00 to 9:30 p.m.

Residents and visitors are invited to wear their red and white, bring their energy, and enjoy an evening of entertainment along the Detroit River.

Drone Show

Make sure you stick around for the spectacular drone show over the Detroit River, presented by LiUNA!625 at 9:15 p.m.

The Great Canadian Riverfront drone show will feature 400 synchronized drones creating a massive, choreographed display of light, movement, music, and unmistakably Canadian imagery, celebrating Windsor and Canada from one of the country’s most iconic waterfront settings.

Live music on the riverfront

The evening will feature a lineup of Canadian performers, with live music throughout the celebration:

  • 4:00 p.m. — Buck Twenty
  • 6:00 p.m. — Ultrasonik
  • 8:00 p.m. — The S’Aints

The S’Aints will take the stage for a high-energy performance leading into O Canada and the evening’s drone-show finale.

All things Canadian

There will be plenty to see and do before the sun goes down. Attendees can enjoy food trucks, Canadian favourite brews and beverages, lawn games, and activities for all ages.

Young Canadians can visit the Great Canadian Tee Studio to create their own Canadian-inspired T-shirt. The activity is free while supplies last.

Guests are also encouraged to dress in their best red-and-white looks. Those showing off their Canadian pride could take home a prize for the Most Patriotic Look!

Quote:

“The Great Canadian Riverfront is a fitting finale to the Riverfront Summer Series, one of the key streams of Experience Windsor. Canadian pride is especially strong right now, and here in Windsor, where Canada begins, there’s no better place to celebrate than together along our riverfront. I want to thank LiUNA Local 625 for their tremendous support as presenting sponsor of the Riverfront Summer Series. Their partnership has helped us create memorable experiences along Windsor’s waterfront all summer long, and we’re closing out the series in a big way with a spectacular 400-drone show over the Detroit River. I encourage residents to wear their red and white, bring their family and friends, and join us as we celebrate our country, our community and a great summer along Windsor’s riverfront.”
