Extended City of Windsor Service Adjustments Due to Wildfire Smoke

Based on Environment Canada’s forecast, the City of Windsor has extended adjustments to services due to unhealthy air conditions caused by lingering wildfire smoke from northern Ontario forest fires until end of day tomorrow, Friday, July 17, 2026, as follows:

• Summer Day Camps will be moved indoors.
• SUPIE park programs are cancelled.
• Outdoor pools are closed.
• Sports fields and diamonds are closed.
• Outdoor washrooms at parks are closed.
• Adventure Bay Family Water Park and Windsor International Aquatic and Training Centre Presented by WFCU Credit Union are closed.
• Experience Windsor Events: 
  • Free Swim at Remington Booster Outdoor Pool and Wheels Night at City Hall Square are cancelled.
  • Free Swim at the WFCU Centre indoor pool will still take place.
• Peche Island tours are cancelled on Friday.
• Lakeview Park Marina remains open.
