City Splash Pads and Seasonal Washrooms Closing for the 2026 Season

As cooler weather arrives, the City of Windsor has closed all splash pads and is beginning the process to close all seasonal washrooms.

Over the next month, crews will carry out routine maintenance and inspections to ensure each splash pad is ready for reopening in May 2027, weather permitting.

While splash pads and outdoor pools are unavailable during the off season, residents are encouraged to continue enjoying Windsor’s many other parks and recreation amenities throughout the fall and winter months.

The closure of the park washrooms will enable Parks staff to begin the winterizing process, which includes draining water lines, adding antifreeze where needed, and securing facilities until spring. All seasonal washroom closures are expected to be in effect by mid-November, weather permitting.
