City of Windsor to Host the Second Public Engagement Event for Stage 2 of the Walkerville Heritage Conservation District

On Tuesday, June 9, 2026, the City of Windsor will host the second public engagement event for the Walkerville Heritage Conservation District (Walkerville HCD) Plan and Guidelines (Stage 2) project at Walkerville Brewery starting at 7:00 p.m.

The purpose of the Walkerville HCD Plan and Guidelines is to formally recognize the area's historical and cultural significance under the Ontario Heritage Act, while providing guidance that respects and complements its existing character.

The upcoming public engagement event will include a presentation of the draft Walkerville HCD Plan and Guidelines, and the property inventory list identifying heritage contribution status of each property within the district. Attendees will be able to provide feedback, ask questions, and learn more about the next steps in the Walkerville HCD project.
