City of Windsor Postal Service Update for Ontario Works, Employment and Training Services, and Vendor Payments

As Canada Post has resumed regular postal delivery, the City of Windsor offers the following updates on some impacted municipal services. For questions on these services (or services not listed here), please contact 311 or see below for additional contact info. 

Ontario Works

Ontario Works cheques and letters will be mailed out as per the usual process beginning December 23, 2024.

Ontario Works Daily Cheques and Letters:

  • Starting Monday, December 23, 2024, daily cheques and letters will be mailed to clients following the standard mailing process.

Ontario Works Monthly Cheques:

  • Ontario Works cheques for clients, vendors, and trustees with a payment date of December 31, 2024, will be mailed out following the standard mailing process. Clients who use 400 City Hall Square East as their address will be able to pick up their cheques on December 31, 2024, following the regular process.

Additionally, cheques for Ontario Works vendors with a payment date of November 29, 2024, will be mailed out the week of December 23, 2024.

Payments to Vendors (including Employment & Training Services)

For vendor cheques, the City advises that cheques will be held for those wishing to pick up their payment until January 2, 2025. For those that have not been arranged for pick-up, the City will mail the cheques on January 3, 2025.
