City of Windsor Diaper Disposal Pilot Program to Begin in the New Year
The City of Windsor is introducing a new Diaper Disposal Pilot Program starting in January 2026 to support residents during the transition to bi-weekly garbage collection and weekly Green Bin service.
This initiative is designed to meet the unique needs of families with infants and individuals managing incontinence.
How to Register:
Registration is required for this program. To participate, residents can register for the program online or register by phone by calling 311.
Once registered, households will be required to place diapers in clear or translucent bags for verification and then place them in a hard-sided container. Please note that unapproved materials will not be collected.
The pilot program will run through December 2026, after which City Council will review the results to determine next steps.
