Calling Young Artists for the 10th Annual Children’s Art Exhibition
The City of Windsor and the International Relations Committee are inviting local children between 6 and 13 years of age to participate in the 10th Annual Children’s Art Exhibition.
The exhibition was created to strengthen Windsor’s relationships with its twin cities and to celebrate the creativity and artistic inspiration of children throughout our communities. Over its first decade, the annual tradition has grown to include more artwork from both young participants in Windsor and its twin cities. The first Children’s Art Exhibition was held at the Windsor International Aquatic and Training Centre Presented by WFCU Credit Union in 2017. Over the years, it has visited several locations in the community, including City Hall, Devonshire Mall and Art Windsor-Essex as well as locations abroad at participating twin cities.
This year, young artists are encouraged to create artwork on a theme of their choice that showcases their creativity and unique perspective in celebration of the exhibition’s 10-year milestone.
Artwork should be submitted on paper or art paper, approximately 10 inches by 16 inches, and must be received no later than Friday, June 26, 2026.
The City of Windsor is planning an exciting showcase to highlight this anniversary, featuring artwork from Windsor’s young residents alongside submissions from children in our participating twin cities around the world. Details about the exhibition will be shared with participants once they are finalized.
Windsor is recognized as one of Canada’s most diverse, multicultural, and inclusive communities. This impactful and positive initiative provides an opportunity to explore the differences and similarities between communities around the world and helps to strengthen Windsor’s relationship with its twin cities while celebrating the creativity of young artists.
