Traffic Operations Centre

The City of Windsor's Traffic Operations Centre (TOC) utilizes state-of-the-art technology to monitor and manage traffic on the city's roadways. The TOC monitors 290 signalized intersections, 12 pedestrian crossovers, 110 kilometres of underground fibre, 2 variable message signs, and 53 traffic monitoring cameras.

The City operates an advanced traffic monitoring system (ATMS) that can display real-time status of all the elements of the traffic management network. The ATMS monitors the traffic signal timings and adjusts plans as programmed. Technicians monitor the system from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, holidays excepted.
