Emergency and Transformation Funding

2025 Applications Now Open

  • Applications are now open for 2025 Emergency and Transformation funding for licensees in Windsor-Essex County currently enrolled in Canada-Wide Early Learning and Child Care (CWELCC). 
  • You can apply for this funding if you are seeking support for non-discretionary and unexpected costs above your program cost allocation (such as emergency capital repairs to minor assets) or for expenditures related to maintaining compliance with licensing requirements under the Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA) and/or business transformation activities (for example, amalgamation, relocation, retrofitting, legal costs, business planning costs, information technology [IT] upgrades, equipment).
  • Licensees may submit multiple applications.
  • Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis and will be reviewed on a rolling basis through December 31, 2025, or as funding remains available. 
  • All emergency and transformation funding must be used and projects completed by December 31, 2025.
