This centre now features a National Basketball Association (NBA)–size gym with wooden floor available for community rentals, plus the original smaller gym. The Atkinson Memorial Centre (AMC) is located within AKO Park, featuring the AKO spray pad, which is open to the public free of charge during the summer. There are sports fields and a play unit in the park.

This NBA–size gym is ideal for adult league sports. It features a sprung wooden floor, male and female change rooms and natural lighting. The facility is available year round for sports rentals and leisure programs.
