Gear Up & Go

With support from Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities, the City of Windsor is able to offer Gear Up & Go, a free pilot sport and recreation initiative that provides youth with opportunities to explore a variety of physical activities, build confidence, develop new skills, and experience the benefits of recreation in a welcoming and inclusive environment.

Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities is committed to helping children overcome financial and accessibility barriers to sport and recreation. Since 2005, Jumpstart has helped millions of Canadian kids participate in sport and physical activity through funding support for registration, equipment, transportation, infrastructure, and community programming.

Through this funding, barriers to participation are reduced, helping ensure that every child has the opportunity to take part regardless of financial circumstances.
