Signs of Infestation
How do I know if my ash tree is infested?
There are multiple signs of emerald ash borer in ash trees including the following:
- The top leaves of trees infected will start to die.
- The trunks and branches will show D-shaped holes where the beetles exit.
- Vertical splits may occur in the bark.
- Dense shoots grow low on the trunk of the tree.
Unfortunately there are no first-year signs of emerald ash borer infestation.
