Captain John Wilson Park firefighter themed playground 3950 Ducharme Street, East of Sixth Concession

Captain John Wilson was a Windsor firefighter who died in February 1955, three hours after rescuing a child from a burning house. He suffered heart failure due to smoke inhalation. The year 2005 was the 50th anniversary of his heroic actions and death. The property was originally the Wilson family farm.
