Biography
Frazier Fathers has called West Windsor home for more than a decade.
For six years at United Way/Centraide Windsor-Essex, he oversaw programs that supported children, families, and seniors in West Windsor and beyond. He also helped lead local policy and advocacy efforts, tackling issues like bulk item pick-up, alley lighting and revitalization, community gardens, and neighbourhood investments.
In 2017, he led the community consultation and idea submissions for the Gordie Howe Community Benefits Program. Thanks to a true collaboration with residents and community groups, their work resulted in more than $20 million invested in West Windsor.
After leaving United Way in 2021, he co-led a national team under the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) Housing Supply Challenge — he produced ADUSearch.ca, a tool mapping zoning rules for 30 municipalities across Canada. For this project, he worked with cities across the country and oversaw legal agreements, data collection, geoprocessing, and mapping for the project.
Today, as an independent researcher and consultant, he supports local non-profits, healthcare organizations, and community groups with projects that set strategy, measure success, and track impact. Outside of Windsor-Essex he has worked with TWC Inc. supporting municipal policy development around affordable housing.
Along the way, Frazier has been honoured to be recognized as one of the Atkinson Foundation’s 100 Leading Progressive Advocates in Canada (2019), a finalist for Young Professional of the Year by the Windsor-Essex Regional Chamber of Commerce (2022), and a finalist for the Hunter Prize in Public Policy (2024). You can read some of his writing about the City of Windsor and beyond on his blog.
When Frazier is not working, he is spending time with his partner Rachael and walking his dog Izzy through West Windsor. (Feel free to say hi if you see them!)
