Dog Licence Fees
New Dog(s) or First-Time Dog Owner(s):
Within ten (10) days of becoming the guardian of a dog two (2) months of age or older, you must obtain a dog licence. Please see first chart only (below) for fees under column marked "Before Feb. 1".
Renewal Fees:
Before February 1st of every year, you must renew your dog licence(s) or be subject to late fees. Please see both charts under all columns.
Effective January 1, 2009 changes came into effect to By-Law 245-2004, A By-Law for the Registration and Licensing of Dogs and for the Control of Dogs within the City of Windsor (see By-laws Online).

A copy of the Spayed/Neutered Certificate must be provided at the time the licence is purchased if the dog has not been previously licensed or has been spayed or neutered since the last purchase of a tag.
