Financial Planning

Led by the Deputy Treasurer of Financial Planning, this department is responsible for the development of the corporate operating and capital budgets, budget variance analysis, year-end transactions and review, grant funding and financial support for all operating departments, and financial analysis and business case development relating to new corporate initiatives and major capital projects. The majority of staff assignments within this unit extend out into each operating department to be able to provide timely service to departmental financial requests. In addition, this division is responsible for managing the collection and reporting of performance measurement (i.e., Municipal Benchmarking Network [MBN] of Canada) for the corporation.
